Canadian Contemporary Repertoire Series

Canadian Contemporary Repertoire Series is a series of graded piano repertoire designed to:
  • Provide Canadian and international students with sound pedagogical material for study purposes
  • Provide students with repertoire written in jazz, pop, Latin, rock and folk styles by Canadian composers
  • Provides students with performance repertoire with audience appeal that is at the same time pedagogically sound
  • Provide repertoire for performance, study, sight reading, examinations, and recreation
  • Provide ideal Canadian music to festivals
  • Create a series of Canadian works for Grade One to advancing levels
  • Create repertoire that could be used by any school of music but has been endorsed by Conservatory Canada as part of their Contemporary Idioms Program
  • Provide established and new Canadian composers with a voice by having their works selected for inclusion
