Although the Music of Our Time Series has been available for many years, it is still a wealth of valuable repertoire and information. The series consists of nine volumes of piano works in contemporary styles, as well as two volumes of teachers’ guides.
To help the teacher guide students through the Music of Our Time series, we have prepared two teacher manuals to accompany the series. The term "teaching manual" may not be the best definition of this supplementary volume--it is more in the nature of a resource book, including suggestions for performance techniques, information about history of various 20th century idioms, suggested materials for further listening and reading, and short analytical discussions of all the Music of Our Time repertoire.
